Arthragen - Chinese Herbal for Small Animals

Clinical research and experience shows that dogs tend to develop arthritis caused by body changes (such as bone degeneration), muscle stiffness, repeated trauma to joints (by playing certain sports), and weakness. The affected dog usually has pain, is reluctant to move, and has a heavy feeling in the limbs. The symptoms are worse in cold and/or damp weather. In TCVM's perspective, this condition is considered as "Bi Syndrome" or "Bi Zhen," meaning rheumatic pain. When the pathogenic wind-cold-damp are combined and enter the body, the qi and blood flow are blocked and stagnated. Consequently, pain and lessened mobility occurs. When the wind-cold-damp stays in the body for a long time, the kidney yang will be injured, thus, bone may degenerate because the kidney controls bones. The key to treatment strategy is to expel the wind-cold-damp and tonify the kidney yang.

Chinese Herbal Arthrogen has been formulated to address the elimination of wind-cold-damp and tonification of kidney yang. It is designed for the cold type of arthritis with pain. It can be used with other forms of anti-inflammatories including steroidal and non-steroidal derivatives, and with nutritional supplements if necessary.
