Defounder
|
The ancient Chinese prescription "no hoof, no horse" is still appropriate today in the racing industry. Maintaining a healthy hoof plays an important role in equine athletic competition. This formula addresses one of the most common problems of the foot, founder or laminitis, which is often challenging to treat and often causes severe lameness. Affected horses can be permanently damaged. Western therapies are often less effective than one would desire.
Although the condition mainly affects the hoof, laminitis is actually a systemic disease which causes disturbances in a variety of organs. DEFOUNDER is a classical equine herbal formula and has been used for founder for at least 300 years.
For maximum effect, start therapy as early as possible. When the distal phalanx is rotated, the effect of herbal medicine will diminish. When treating an acute condition, better results will be attained if combined with topical application of INFLAMMATION SALVE.
One can also consider using CO ENZYME Q 100 or EQUINE ANTIOXIDANT formula in more serious cases. |
