Dry Cough - Chinese Herbal for Horses

Horses may be affected with bronchitis and bronchiolitis, resulting in cough and asthma. In the Traditional Chinese Medicine's view, cough and asthma are always related to the lungs. The lungs are perhaps the most fragile organ in the body. They are easily affected by environmental dust, heat, and dryness. Generally speaking, there are two types of cough and asthma: dry and wet. Equine Chinese Herbal Dry Cough is designed for a dry cough and asthma (for a wet cough, and moist sounding asthma, use Equine Chinese Herbal Wet Cough). Signs of dry cough and asthma include non-substantial (non-productive) cough (no phlegm), shortness of breath, and possibly an afternoon mild fever. Often the cough and asthma is of a chronic nature, perhaps lasting several months. A hot and dry environment may exacerbate signs, while humid and cold environment tends to attenuate signs. Equine Chinese Herbal Wet Cough is often very effective in treating horses with chronic, dry coughs and asthma. It focuses on moistening the upper airway and lungs and relieving cough and asthma.

It can be combined with Equine Antioxidant and Equine Immune Support if the dry cough is associated with an upper respiratory infection.
