Arthroplex

Arthritic conditions and painful ligaments and tendons are a major concern in many dogs and cats. Many doctors are searching for ways to help heal or protect the musculoskeletal system. Glucosamine promotes the incorporation of sulfur into cartilage and connective tissue, thus helping produce the complex mucopolysaccharides needed for health joints.

There is no food source for glucosamine. The body must produce all of the glucosamine it needs. It has been shown that dietary supplementation of glucosamine is readily absorbed, and may improve joint function.

Green-lipid mussels are rich sources of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), as well as being rich in chelated minerals, amino acids (60% protein) and vitamins. dl-Phenylalanine (DLPA) is a component of the catacholamine neurotransmitter cascade. Adding it to the formula will increase the levels of the neurotransmitters norepinephrine and dopamine, which might increase the levels of endorphines and enkephalins. Vitamin C's is important in the production of collagen, which is needed for soft-tissue support for joints. Boswellia has been shown to inhibit formation of the proinflammatory leukotrienes.
